It's almost summer! And summer nights are beckoning...with warm weather and a relaxed mood that makes everything feel better!

As for Youth, we've got a great summer planned! Summer nights happen at various locations. Each one has a fun activity such as game night, s'more making, a pool party, painting/art night and more! Dinner is included! And an opportunity to hear the faith testimony from a member of our community.

How will I know where to go each Summer Night?
Find the address for each location on this sheet you can print & put on your fridge or in the prior week's PAVC YOUTH eNews. 

"YOUTH SECTION" IN THE MAIN SANCTUARY
There's a Youth Section on the right in front of the Sound Booth that's reserved for youth and youth ministry leaders until 10:35am. Youth can sit wherever they want in the sanctuary, so this is simply an option for those who'd like it.

ALL-CHURCH COFFEE & CONNECTION @ 10am - 10:25am each Sunday.
Connect with friends and make new ones over bagels or donuts in the Community Hall, or join us after church out on the Patio with foosball and ping pong!

Summer Sundays (formerly Eat, Play, Learn), 12:15-1:30pm in the Youth Room through August 3. If a friend asked you what the Christian faith is all about, what would you say? If you aren't sure but want to know more, bring a lunch for a scripture study of the Nicene Creed. Light snacks provided.
 
Note for July 20: We'll have lunch @ 12:15pm in the Youth Room and break @ 12:55pm for the QPR Suicide Prevention Training, which youth are welcome & encouraged to attend at 1pm.

SERVE WITH BUENA VISTA SUMMER CAMP - July 7-11
Do you enjoy working with children? Want to learn more about how to share God's love in our local community? Our Director of Compassion, Julie Young, is partnering with youth from Los Altos High School to run a camp for kids at Buena Vista Mobile Home Park in Palo Alto, and we need 3-4 more youth to help with the camp! It runs for just one week (July 7-11), and hours would be appx 9am-3pm. Contact Julie for more information (julieyoung@pavineyard.org)- or register here if you are ready to sign up!

PROJECT TIMOTHY - July 20-27, 2025
It's a week-long Vineyard leadership training intensive for youth designed for 9th through 12th-grade students and inspired by the Apostle Paul's mentoring friendship with Timothy. Paul met Timothy when Timothy was young, and immediately saw his leadership potential. Paul spent years investing in Timothy’s gifts, training him as a leader, and releasing him into meaningful ministry. Project Timothy aims to inspire, motivate, train, and release young leaders in the Vineyard! FAQ & Daily Schedule here. This regional youth event is happening @ University Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Fresno, CA.  REGISTRATION / APPLICATION HERE.

Nestled in the woods around Skyline, with a pool and plenty of space to play, pray & stretch out the summer for one last weekend...mark your calendar to be at the Youth Overnight @ Joanne's home. Details to come.

JULY 6 PARTY @ 12pm - 2pm
All ages are welcome to join us for a Party! There will be a regular church service at 10:30am, followed by holiday fun with several different activities including: a petting zoo, carnival games, tie-dye, and a dunk tank. No cost for admission. Hot dogs and pie will be served. There will be optional donations at the Dunk Tank, with proceeds going directly to Street Life Ministries, one of our Community Partners. SIGN UP HERE.

ZOOM INTO PRAYER FOR OUR YOUTH - Parents, Mentors & Youth Ministry Leaders, are invited to join for prayer on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays | 9:30am - 10am | starting back up on August 21. Let us know if you'd like to get the google calendar invite so that we make sure you have the correct zoom link.

TWO SUNDAY SERVICES begin on Sunday, Sept 7 @ 9AM and 11AM. 

Everybody gets to play! With that as our Vineyard Church motto, we want to encourage every youth to find a place to serve. Here are some great options:

YOUTH SERVING KIDS (YSK) - Help kids at Kids Church grow in faith and relationship with God and community through games, bible stories, arts/crafts and worship. Contact Julie.

HOSPITALITY - Welcome people, greet, serve as an usher.  Contact Julie.

TECH TEAM - Work the camera, video, projection or sound. Apprentices welcome! Contact Julie.

COMPASSION BOARD - We are excited that Nathan Paris will be serving on the Compassion Board for the 2024-2025 year. For questions Contact Julie. 

WORSHIP - Sing or play with one of the worship teams. Contact Christina.

PRAYER - Support other youth with prayer after the worship service on Sundays. (This can be done as an apprentice with a seasoned prayer partner.) Contact Pastor Mike.

Creating space for meaningful conversations about life, faith and purpose.
Led by High School youth, for High School youth. Alpha Youth Series is designed to inspire teens to discuss life’s biggest question in an environment where every question is welcome. If you'd like to be part of Youth Alpha in the Fall of 2025, let us know!
